SMcN Consulting Inc. was the mechanical engineer for the design and construction of the new biomass boiler plant at Don Ross Middle School in Squamish, BC. This project also included an updated indoor boiler room with four new high-efficiency condensing boilers, which will work in tandem with the biomass system. With the addition of this renewable energy platform, SD 48 will see a reduction of natural gas usage and carbon emissions at Don Ross between 50% and 80%.
